The vanilla comes through so clearly, and that fine sugar gives it a delicate crunch on the outside while staying pillowy inside. I ate one straight from the bag and was shocked at how perfectly balanced the sweetness is.
Baked these for about 12 minutes and the edges crisped up while the middle stayed pillowy soft. The vanilla comes through clearly without being overpowering, and the sugar crust gives just enough crunch. Three ounces is a solid single-serving size for when I need a quick sweet fix.
These are the perfect size for a little afternoon pick-me-up. The vanilla and cane sugar balance is just right; they're sweet, but not cloyingly so. I just wish the 3oz bag had a few more in it.
